North Devon Journal, 20 May 1869: May 15, at Tiverton, Mary Rebecca, youngest daughter of the late Rev. Henry Gamble, formerly Incumbent of Newport, Barnstaple, aged 34.

North Devon Journal, 19 Feb.1857: … by the Rev. Francis Cupiss, rector of Edlaston, Andrew Handy, Esq., of Dublin, to Martha Frances, daughter of the Rev. Henry Gamble, of Clifton, and formerly of Newport, this borough.

North Devon Journal, 13 Feb.1851: February; 3rd, at Clifton, Derbyshire, Elizabeth Vere, eldest daughter the late William Law, Esq., of this town, and wife of the Rev. Henry Gamble, formerly Incumbent Newport, in this borough, aged 55.

North Devon Journal, 27 Apr.1848: …  Newport, in this borough, on the 17th instant at the advanced age of 92, Mrs. Gamble, mother of the Rev. Henry Gamble, formerly of that place.

Newspaper reports from the 1840s also mention illness of Rev. Henry Gamble.
