Is that a woman, in the middle row, on the left? The coat she's wearing looks just like the coat Grandma is wearing in the "Impossible?" thread, just has an extra button on the belt.

Hi China,

There does appear to be two women in the photo - don't know why they would be in the Machine Gun Corps in WW1 though - looks like they are "attached" to a couple of the men though.

It's a great photo and seems to be well preserved when you consider the age of it.

Oh, right, I missed the other woman on the right. Her hat looks a bit more like one of the hats my mum had in uniform, with the brim tipped up at the side. I doubt if I could find a pic, but I have a hazy memory of the hat.
