John Hind/Hinde look up 1841/51
« on: Tuesday 16 November 04 08:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I would be very grateful if someone could look up John Hind (or Hinde) and wife Mary for 1841/51.  They had a son John Hind (Hinde) (34 years old in 1871).

Thanks to Rootschat I now have details on the son around 1871  but I would be grateful for any information on his parents as the Hinde family are quite extensive around the Whitwell/Osberton area and I'd love to be able to identify the links bewtween them all.

On the familysearch.org site someone has logged the son as being born to John & Mary in 1828 (Firbeck Whitwell). The rest of the information about his marriage to a Maria Lowe is correct but possibly someone meant to type 1838.

Many thanks

Helen

PS I had originally flagged up thsi request under Derbyshire but now realise its more likely to appear under Nottinghamshire.

Bryant, many thanks for this. I had put them to one side to focus on other areas of the tree so this is very useful.

Hello Helen,

This is the earlier history for the John Hind who married maria Lowe.  I am descended from his father John Hind the miller at Osberton and Belph.

I have more information if you want it, primarily on Genes Reunited.
