Regimental Colours - WW1 & 2

I am in the process of putting together memorial montages for 2 soldiers of the Welsh Regiment.   The first served with 14th Bn in WW1 and the second with the 15th Bn to 1944 and then 4th Bn.
I intend to mount photographs, medal minuatures, and details of service etc on a background of the regimental colours, possibly as would appear on ties etc.
I would be grateful if anyone could advise me as to the colours and would there have been any differences between wars and battalions.
