War Medal belonging to Matthew Harp
« on: Tuesday 05 December 06 09:14 GMT (UK) »
I have in my possession a British War Medal WW1 belonging to a Matthew Harp.  I always thought it belonged to my grandfather, but making enquiries this is not so.  Would dearly love to return it to its rightful owner's family.
Feel free to improve or colour any restores submitted by me.

Hi
Please can you tell me what regiment he was in and or the medal number as my children are related to Harps of North Staffs (Fenton) and Cheshire (Chester), regiment(s).  I could then take a look at the medal index on National Archives website.
Thanks Gareth
