I am looking for Ancestor's or descendant's of Annie Scanlon.
She was born 4th of June 1911 in Gorton Manchester. Around the age of16 she moved to Heysham Lancashire to live with her sister minnie.
She married a Robert foster at the age of 17 but left him for my grandfather.
She had two brothers names possably Bobby and Jake or John. Her fathers name was Robert and her mother died young through drowning in the Manchester Ship Canal.
She died on the 2nd of March 1947.

Thanx for your reply, I was hoping to save myself the cost as i could end up having to order a few Birth Certificates to carry on with my search.

Would i get this info From the Records Office as so far i hav,nt left my computer.

Hi Sharon, you don't have to even leave your PC to order the certs.  You can do it on-line.  If you look up the relevant details on freebmd, there is a link on the site to order the cert on-line.  The cost is £7.00 for each cert.

The info you need is the quarter, registration district, page no and volume no.  If you can't find this on freebmd then a kind Rootschatter will look it up for you.

You can find lots of information out freely on the web but the certificates are vital for your research.  I just order one a month, you will be amazed how much info you can find from one cert and how quickly your research will progress.

If you order Annie's birth cert you will find where she was born and who her parents were and from there you could look at the census to see how they lived.  You could then order her parents marriage cert and find out their names, so within two certs you get a wealth of information.
