Hi all,

I don't really have anything to start with but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky.

My Father was Adrian Peter Williams born 1955? in unknown town but I believe Gloustershire maybe Chester. His mother was Phyllis and two siblings were Christopher and Sandra. I know that his biological fathers surname was Povey but he died and his mother married a Gerald Williams, hence the name. I would very much like to know anything about my family tree but cannot find anything due to lack of info. could anyone offer a starting point? thanks.

Hi, I found a Adrian P Povey with a birth registered in the Jan/feb/march 1958, with mothers maiden name Parry. The birth was registered in Chester ref no. 10a/298.

I also find a marriage for a Albert V Povey to a phyllis Parry registered in the Jul/aug/sep 1950 period in W.Cheshire reg no 10a/1944

Hi again,
I found a Albert V Povey born J/f/m period 1920 preston ref no 8a/1131
mothers maiden name - Inglis.
Then I found a mariage for a Jessie Inglis to a albert V Povey in Preston, jul/au/sep period of 1916 ref no 8a/1014.
Then if you look in the free bmd there is a Jessie Inglis born 1895 preston lancashire, you should be able to find her in the 1901 census and more then likely Albert V Povey (senior) will be in that census as well therefore fingers crossed you will be able to follow that line all the way back until 1841.

Cyril Povey 2nd son of Albert Povey and Jessie  born 1924 preston j/f/m period ref no 8a/708.
Maybe you will be able to find some relatives of his and share info.
