« on: Wednesday 06 December 06 00:47 GMT (UK) »
Grandmother died jan. 14, 1922 place of death Wincote, Victoria Park.(domestic servant)
Where would she be buried/cremated?
Tried Southern Cemetery; Phillips; Blakeley no luck
Her home was Powick Worcester however had sister who lived 16 Thomas St. Rusholme so might have been interred close to her home.
I am in Canada so would appreciate email address if any one can.
Thank you so much,
Marg. Laur

Hi nana1944 and a Warm Welcome to Rootschat  ;D
Tried Southern Cemetery; Phillips; Blakeley no luck

Have you seen this site?

If she was interred in Powick, could have been in a churchyard  ???

Wendi  :)

Thank you Wendi
I have checked Southern Cemetery and no luck.   ::) Today I visited the web site you gave me and it appears to be a better site where one can ask for a search at all Manchester cemeteries/crematorium and have sent it off this morning.
Here's hoping to get a hit or else try and go back to her birth place of Powick, Worcester with the chance she may have been returned there.

Have a good holiday, Marg. :D

Marg,

I'll bet you if she's buried in Manchester she's in Peel Green Cemetery - sorry the Rusholme penny didn't drop earlier, but I had relations living in Rusholme about the same time and they were all buried in Peel Green, it's massive, there are also links to various other cemeteries on the area:

Happy Christmas to you too  :)
