My Grandad Thomas Lindsey Wood
« on: Thursday 07 December 06 01:25 GMT (UK) »
I have only one photo of my grandad in uniform. I am trying to find out his regiment so that I can look for his medal card. I have tried posting on WW1 Formum but keep receiving a message of some kind or another.
My grandfather was born in  1873, so I know that it is WW1.
He is the cuty sitting down on the far right.
I sure need help here, as there are many Thomas Wood
Thank you

Your relative is the only one wearing a lanyard on his shoulder so they may all be from different Regiments.

Hi Joy

Noting the comments so far I was wondering if you had a date for the photo? or any clues on who else was in the photo.......from your replies I guess not, but it's worth asking

Wendi
this is the only photo of my grandad. I found it in my dads possessions when he passed away. I did not see my grandfather much as I was floating about the world.
If only it were easier, but I shall get thhere.
Thank you

Well for what it's worth I think this is a "family photo" prior to WW1

I'd be interested to see what the guys think?

My grandfather was born in 1873. I would think his military service would have been prior to WW1.
Don't you think?
