All the children showing for Agnes and Robert Clark ( initially I couldn't find them as I kept on searching for Black  :D):

1. ANDREW FURLONG CLARK  Birth: 02 DEC 1862 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland
2. MARY LIGHTBODY CLARK Birth: 15 NOV 1855 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland
3. MARY ANN LIGHTBODY CLARK Birth: 05 FEB 1858 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland
4. JOHN CAMERON CLARK Birth: 01 AUG 1867 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland
5. DAVID CLARK Birth: 02 MAR 1865 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland
6. ELIZABETH LIGHTBODY CLARK  Birth: 09 JUL 1860 Rothesay, Bute, Scotland

I wonder about the use of the middle name Lightbody and whether it was relevant to Agnes or Robert  :-\

Regards.

Just one further point from Agnes's DC. Mother Elizabeth Neil (slightly faint, could actually also be O'Neil) shows as deceased...father John Cameron, gardner does not  ::)

Thanks for that information. I went searching for more Camerons, born in Symington and came across a John Cameron (born in Cowal, Argyllshire) and wife Elizabeth (born Symington) in Rothesay. I wonder if this is maybe their parents?

I'll search for John's death cert. now.  8)

I've just seen that in the 1861 Census in Rothesay, although John is down as a General Master (of what  ::)) , wife Elizabeth is showing as a gardner's wife..........fingers crossed it's the right couple  ;)

I've tried searching for a death certificate for John, going by the 1861 census record as an age basis. Only one appeared but he's a widower of Mary ?. I've also searched the whole of Bute for deaths between 1868 and 1895 but only that one appeared.

I've just found him  :)  He died age 86 in Rothesay in 1874. Parents John, gardner and Margaret Galbraith. G/daughter Elizabeth (Stewart?) reported his death.

The census age is off then, by 11 years!  :D No wonder I wasn't finding anything.

Thanks for all your help, Monica. It's much appreciated, you've found more tonight than I have in a week of searching.  ;D The informant must be Agnes' daughter as there's no daughters of Mary, just sons.

:) And Elizabeth Neil. She died in 1864 age 73 (age unrecorded which is probably why she wasn't coming up on the searches - you have to tick the box on the search page for these to be included   :()

Parents Matthew and Isabella (maiden name also Neil). A Matthew Cameron (son? hard to tell) reported the death. Also a ref. to the Register of Corrections for her entry.
