mary ann parish's marriage
« on: Friday 08 December 06 18:21 GMT (UK) »

please can anybody out there tell us where to search for her marriage? mary ann was born in Deolali India in july 1879 and baptized on 20th july 1879. We've found her living with her parents, Fred  and Helen Parish on the 1901 c encus in St Georges in the Field North Manchester. We believe she married a Dawson and there was a son, Cyril.
Don't know where she married or when. Have searched thro' the b.m.d. on ancestors.com to no avail. Have we missed it?

Mary Ann Parrish ( with two rs) possibly married Enoch Dawson in Barton on Irwell in June 1903.  B O I is the western part of Salford  & Trafford as a rough guide.

A Cyril Dawson was born in this distric in 1909.

Many thanks for your information which sounds promising (except for the 2rrs) but we'll still follow it. Having no relatives left , my husband was at a loss where to search, and having quite a few certs. he wants to complete his side of the family. I think he will ring Southport before sending  for this particular one. Once more thanks for your help. As Rootschat beginners we are finding you established chatters a kind and helpful lot.

Why not go via Salford Register Office ?

That way if the parents are wrong, it won't cost you anything.

Good Luck
