It is superb. Very easy to use and you can put everything that you would ever want into it

I second everything Gadget says about FH3, it is well worth the money, it does a lot more than the first software package I bought and I keep finding useful and interesting things I didn't know about.

Excellent sales pitch girls ;D

You have sold it to me..........Mum won't buy it :'( so I'll hint at hubby instead ;)

Just to add my Two'pennoth, I started out with version 2.2

upgraded to version 3 and downloaded free 3.1, and each time there is a little extra. Now on  the opening Individual board(every rellie listed in Alphabetical order) you can highlight one ,go to Edit and make that individual the Root and a column come up showing a list of relationships to every other family member.

You can right click on the page and add or delete columns.

on the users group site there are "How To"  animated  walk throughs.for linking photos and documents etc. A download for linking  census information..

Now you are all suitably mind numbed (but impressed)!

Any more tips for me perhaps???

Hi Springbok

I've found some of the queries quite useful, ny niece asked me if I could find any ancestors who had been born on her birthday, so I did a query for each of their birthdays (2 nieces and a nephew)and found births and marriages on those days.  They were quite impressed.

Check out  the addons from the Users Group, there are some good ones, but by far the best is the gedcome census, I have found so many family members that I ignored when I originally downloaded census returns by using this addon!

I've still not heard from the board link that Mary gave  :(

I've got one more idea to try out. Will report back if it works.

Gadget, your e-mail came up OK. Sometimes replies come through in a batch,

It is something to do with it going through Rootsweb, I believe(Not 100% sure)
There were about 20 items (Queries and replies) in the last few days and some have obviously been waiting.

Now you have got on the list, you should see other mail in your In Box.

Yes - I was referring to the fact that it hadn't been answered rather than it not appearing in my in-box  ;D

Got that gadget,

Have you had any other people's mail since you posted yours?

If so then try again. If not then the other reason could apply, that there is a reply waiting but not delivered. Sorry if I was unclear.
