Ships Registers/seamans registers - mid/late 1700's

Hi Everyone

Would any of you know please if there are and if so where there are, ships registers and seamans registers for Scotland.

My 6 x gt grandfather - John Lamb -  was a Shipmaster from Leith - (died around 1792).

I know that this is pretty early for registers - but you never know - I could get lucky!!
