I recommend anyone researching a London pewterer to contact the Worshipful Company of Pewterers http://www.pewterers.org.uk/home/index.html. I sent them an email recently asking for information on Joseph Wingod and his son John, and received a very helpful reply within a couple of weeks, covering 4 generations of Wingods in the 18th and early 19th centuries.  They also sent me details of three of the Wingod marks (one of which is reproduced below)
