Marriage lookup c1832 Cardiff

Hi all,

I am trying to find the marriage of Richard Jackson to 'Ann' Richard was born in Somerset and Ann in Cardiff, so she says! Their first 2/3 children are down on the 51 as being born Cardiff.

Just checked the Glam FHS CD of pre-1837 marriages in Glamorgan and there are no Richard Jacksons. Maybe they were not married in Cardiff or, alternatively, were married after 1837.

Hmmm very odd, I have had the England Pallots index tried and nothing! Thei first child, Maria is down as being born Cardiff 1833

No sign of a Maria Jackson in the pre-1837 baptisms, either. Could they have been RC (maybe Maria as a name might suggest that?) or non-conformists?

What about a William Jackson c1837?

No William Jackson baptised in Cardiff and none in Glamorgan later than 1832. If he was born in 1837 he would presumably be one of the first to be given a birth certificate. (Now there's a thought: I wonder who had certificate No 1 )
