Haven't managed to find any marriages yet, which would "fit"-but on IGI there are these baptisms

On freebmd there are several marriages in Lancashire where Robert yates and Mary are shown on the same page

Robert/ Mary may have married after Sept 1837 , as son Robert is 3 in 1841

There are a few births for Robert Yates abt the time of Robert jnrs birth

There are 2 births freeBMD which are possibilities for your William-both in same qtr

so to send for a birth cert would be a difficult choice!!!

1841 shows John Yates age (which I put as 1mth but on second look is more likely 7mths)) -but he is not listed 1851-will check out if he is elswhere or possibly died???

1841 there is another Yates family a few doors away on Fawcet Street -image very faint - looks like William and Ellen and several children-do you want their details -could be related???

Received all info. plenty to work on over the Christmas break - time permitting
Just one piece of info for you - William Yates/Louisa Dean , age 21 (09.12.1863) 76 Fleet Street, Father Robert Yates, Overlooker - Cathedral Parish Ch. Manchester.
witnesses were Louisa Dean's Mother and Father, Charles Margerson Dean and Mary Ann Dean. Had started to look for John's death 41/51.
