I am tring to trace my Great grandparents  i found that one of the  grand children on the 1891 census for hebburn Co -Durham was born Scotland this is the info from the census
John Sewell  age 34 born carlisle
Cathrine  age 29 born Carlisle
Mary Ann age 6 born Carlisle
John age 5 born Scotland [this is the one I am interested in ]
Henrietta age 3 born Workington
Thomas 1 born hebbur
I thought if I could finde  johns birth it would lead me to my great grandparents who were
John Sewell born 1830 Carlisle and Mary Douglas born  1834 kirkpatrick flemming  to
John Douglas and Jean Irving

just to let you know I have found John Sewells birth december 24 1885 in Greebrae Loaning Greenbrae Dumfries thanks to Pam
