Need help finding more info on Robert Shard...........

Annie Was NOT the mother to this Robert...........
She was the mother to the other one...Robert Hy Shard..
I too thought Robert born 1884 may have been registered with his mothers surname, but why marry under the name of Shard and put Shard as his surname on his Navy Records...

Now you know how I feel...........
This part of my tree has been doing my head in since May...

I first thought that there was only one of them, but there's a marriage for the other Robert Hy in 1908 he married Beatrice Scholes, I know this is mine as he was my mums uncle and she saw him often....
I'm also intouch with one of his grandchildren...

I have marriage certs for both of them...
And Robert Hy didn't move to Widnes to marry...LOL

I have have thought of that....
If that's the case then there's no way I can find him....
Even with his birth date...

Robert Hy and Beatrice lived in Whitefield, Lancashire, near Bury.....
Robert and Elizabeth lived in Widnes......
These places aren't even close....LOL

Just before I go....
Robert Shard born 1884, his mother died young, possibly not long after he was born...
Do you think here's a chance he may have been sent to an orphanage........ clutching at straws again
If his father was in the Army he wouldn't have been able to care for him...

It's just that I am searching all sorts of options and the name is not coming up-I'm now trying to get my head round James- for any leads - however I too should now stop.
