Hi

I cannot see anything online which provides the exact date. I suspect that you have already seen the IGI submitted entry which gives the year. However I did find the address for St Peters and maybe if you write there someone might be able to supply the answer from church records (and possibly other related information).

St Peter's, Rivington Rd, Belmont, BL7 8AD

Thank you for your advice on this.I am not convinced this is the correct address for St.Peter's as I used to live in Bolton & St Peter's Parish Church is on Churchgate in the  town centre of Bolton.

Rivington Road ,Belmont is way out of town on the way to the West Pennine moors.

Possibly you have picked up the address of a smaller church.

However,I am most grateful for your efforts & they are appreciated.

Regards & Happy New Year 8)

Hi Betty.

On second look I think you might be right.  This is where I got it from by clicking on "Parishes in the Town" on the left hand side and I had taken the first one that I came to.

For the Parish Church that you mention there are some photographs and one of them has some telephone numbers on.

Thanks for that DS,

I just had a glimpse at the website you have given,it was lovely to see the picture of my beloved home town.

Have to go out now but will go back in to the website on my return.

Thanks a lot for your help in trying to find the Whartons.

Cheers
