Hi everyone, this has nothing to do with your thread really but i work in a 19th century Manor house ,built in 1854. It's woodpanelled, gold cornicing, superb stain glass windows , original back stairs for the servants, a ball room and orangery- anyway ,you get the picture.

This building is supposed to be haunted- family lived and died here plus suicide. I became so interested with the whole building and the feeling of someone over your shoulder, i have to be here all alone at times. I started researching the Butler family in Edgbaston  and the servants and then went to the grave yards as well.
Then i decided to start doing my own ancestry  
It does become an obsession

Certainly is no going back, i'd love to be in contact with the descendants of the servants that worked her to describe the place where they worked.

Echoing all of us who've been on the Henry Attreal hunt thank-you so much for visiting his resting place and laying the flowers..really brings home that every name we see in census', BMDs, news-reports and documents were once alive and just like us all.

Think we need another one!! ..........(digging out Most Haunted DVD collection!!)
