My husband's greatgrandparents are on the 1861 cencus in Salford.Catherine and Samuel Moores, but we now want to find their marriage. Have made a search. Catherine was born in Ireland.possibly married there.? How do we search in Ireland please?

Simon MOORES H M 28 boat man Lancashire Salford
Catharine W M 28 - cotton weaver - Ireland
Sarah dau 5 - Lancashire Salford
Mary A dau 2 - ditto
Ellen GIBBONS step dau 10 - Lancashire Manchester

Address: 5 Pump Court, Regent Road, Salford, Lancashire


The hubby is Simon if this is them.

Looks like this would be a marriage between a Catharine GIBBONS and a Simon MOORES and Lancashire would be the best bet, since the step-daughter is born here too.
