I have a death of a William Morgan who died in Maesteg 12th June 1891. Would it please be possible to see if he was buried  in Maesteg burial ground . Willam would be about 52 yrs old when he died. Thankyou.. Eirwen

Only that he died in  Maesteg Row which Bridgend Register office informed me was in Maesteg. Also that the death was registered by his brother George. Not a lot to go on but afraid all I have. Eirwen

Hi Gareth I have now received a newspaper obituary for the William Morgan who died  in June 1891 . The obituary says he was a harpist. Looks like the family you discovered is not mine. Can you inform me did  a harpist travel around Wales , playing in different locations and maybe staying in Inns or boarding houses.
Any ideas on this, maybe William just happened to be in the area when he died and then taken back to his own home for burial. Just thinking of alternatives. Eirwen.

My g grandmother had a cousin called William Morgan who won the harp competition at the World Fair in Chicago in 1898. Is this your William Morgan?
