Regan Clan
« on: Monday 01 January 07 05:09 GMT (UK) »
I do hope this post finds a relative in County Cork, Ireland.

I am researching the Regan Clan.

The clan in particular is Cornelius and Mary Mahoney Regan.  They had 11
children in County Cork, Ireland.  There are 5 sons I have not been able
to find.  Unfortunately I do not have any birth dates for them, but
guessing they could have been born between 1860 - 1875.  Their names are
Jerimiah, Patrick, Cornelius, Dennis and Timothy.  They may have
immigrated to Australia between 1880 - 1900.

According to family legend, specifically my grandfather, he (grandfather)
had relatives in Australia.  Sorry he did not say where and I guess no one
asked.  Should any of the Regan clan see this, please e-mail.  I would
love to hear from you.

Thank you for your time and trouble.

I am also searching regan/reagan from cork.....  Its my great grandmothers family.  Her name was Julan/julie.. Not 100% sure.  she had 6 children with Michael Donovan, however she died sometime in the 1930s.  Not sure if this is the same family!!

Hi Rachel,

I read all your posts and I see you are in the same boat as I.  What information I have found and been given by different cousins I don't have a Julia in my line of Regan's.  Don't give up as I haven't found information on the rest of my gg-grandfather's siblings and children.  There very well could be a Donavan in the tree, but at this time is not revealing itself.

Most of the ones I have been looking for lived in the Bantry Bay area.

Good luck on your quest.  Should anything develop I will let you know.  Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Jean   :) :)

Hello, Cornelius John Regan was my Mother's Father.  He passed away about 3 months before she was born.  He was married to Doris Annie Collins  dob 5th June 1913.  She lived to be 87.
My Mother, Patricia Margaret (Regan) Kerr born 1934 passed away  2001. There was an older son, Cornelius Regan, he has since passed away too, I think in 2002/03. He had no children that we are aware of.   Myself and my 8 siblings are the only direct Grandchildren of Cornelius John Regan and Doris Annie Collins.

There were 2 half siblings born after Doris remarried.  Brian Jocelyn and Sharon Jocelyn Keyes.  Brian has since passed away too.

The Walshes are still in the Mitta Mitta area. They will be our family.

My siblings who are left were all born in Queensland.  One of my brothers lives in England.
I don't know much of the family history. That was a project of one of my older brothers, Neville Kerr. He only passed away in 2021.

Cornelius REGAN died 1934 aged 50, parents Thomas REGAN, Mary WALSH
Mitta Mitta, #16769

I was looking up other things and only discovered this post recently.
So I guess this is hello Family.   I hope this finds you after all this time.
