Looking for place of burial in   Liverpool library advised by email that they were unable to locate it.

By that time most large cities had municipal cemeteries as the church yards were getting full.  It may be worth contacting the nearest one.  The Record Office in Liverpool should be able to help.  They will have more records than the library.

Thank you for your response Andrea.  I live in Australia - should have mentioned that in the post.  Which cemeteries should I be looking at?

Have a look at genuki.com and see what records they have under Liverpool and area.  They are generally very good at indicating what is where.   I have been to the Liverpool record office - it is quite big and has a lot of stuff!    Not really my area though so others may know more about the cemeteries.
