SABERTON William (1832) and John (1850) how are they related ?
« on: Monday 01 January 07 07:08 GMT (UK) »
Both these people moved form ely/isleham Cambridgeshire to West Yorkshire.

John is my daughter's ancestor:

John is listed as half cousin of william in 1871 census

John in very few census'.

some questions if anyone is able or inclined to answer.

- What is the actual relationship between William and John ?

- Saberton is found ONLY in cambridge in early 1800s - How come johns father John (1826) comes from Ireland (his grandmother cathrine too) - listed later as born in armagh

- Any records which take the line back further

Hi,

There are 55 Saberton's in the Cambridge FHS Baptism index, you may like to have a look. Good Luck.
