I have all the children of Roderick Forbes who was my great great grandfather  he had 18 children with his wife Jessy Mabon!!!!!!!, seems he was a Gardneer , I wondered if he was a landscape gardener , first children born Denston Hall, next 12 born at Walcot Hall Shropshire, the last 5 born at Wynnstay Gardens.

Must have needed a sizable house to live in
any info from anyone, I am a novice

Hi and welcome to Rootschat  :)

If you read through this thread carefully, you'll find that we thought that the most likely Roderick was born in 1792 in Edinburgh.

I've done a thorough search on my Scottish records and can only find the Roderick s/o Roderick and Elizabeth, St Cuthbert, Edinburgh 1792.

I then did a check on the Scottish 1841 and this Roderick doesn't seem to be there, so he is a strong possiblility. It might be worth checking the E & W 1841 for any other Rodericks born Scotland. To be extra sure.

Sorry, I am not very good at computers and do not know how to read the thread ,but will learn , yes Roderick Forbes was born 1793 in Roxburgshire....he had a son Roderick ( also shown as a gardener died  in Bolton Lancs ) Roderick Forbes and his wife Jessy Mabon had a child every year from 1819, my great grandad Walter was the 11th child.
