CHARD Family & TREDEGAR ARMS
« on: Wednesday 03 January 07 11:47 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone 'out there' researching/related to the following members of the CHARD family (all siblings)?

Harriet b1900 in Tredegar
Richard b1898 in Tredegar
Alfred b1893 in Old Tredegar, d1907 Bedwellty District
Joseph b1891 in Ebbw Vale
Martha b1890 in Ebbw Vale
John Henry b1888 in Ebbw Vale, d1916 Somme, France
Elizabeth Ann b1885 in Llwynypia
George Oliver b1882 in Llwynypia, d1920 Tredegar

My mother (b1911 in Tredegar) used to say she remembered her 'Uncle Jack' Chard was the landlord of the 'Tredegar Arms' public house opposite the clock tower in Tredegar town.  I'm not sure who exactly 'Uncle Jack' was, and the 1901 Census doesn't help.  Can anyone verify this, please?
