Couple Disappear?

I have lost a married couple.. got them married June 1889 salford/manchester.barton upon irwell  I expected them to show on the 1901 census and 1891 census - nothing?

George William Calow married Ellen Thomas June 1889.

Ellen's parents are William Thomas and Lucy Thomas nee Pearson. born 1869 bilston

Not sure about George William Calow but suppose apprx 1869 and i think he was from Salford.

unless they both died before the next census, the only thing i can think of they left the country, but where is the question.

Any ideas where to go from here?  Thanks in antcipation

This looks a possibility, although the wife is Mary Ellen.

RG13; Piece: 3755; Folio: 150; Page: 29.

Try comparing the occupation with that on the marriage certificate.

That Mary Ellen was born in Liverpool, I saw her a few hours ago...but thanks for looking

Infact I have been trying to trace all the salford calow family and it seems they have all disappeared from the census, unless i am not looking proper!  My chest infection doesn't help but i only have a few days left  for my 14 day trial... I caught my hubby's man flu!
