In the 1851 Census the LOBB family are listed at 6 Moss Street, St Peter Port, Guernsey as
George aged 53 Boatman
Eliza aged 45
Eliza aged 22 Dress maker
Louisa aged 16 Milliner
Susan aged 13 Scholar
John aged 11 Scholar
Jane aged 9 Scholar
Henry aged 7 Scholar
Sophia aged 5 Scholar
(parents & eldest child born England the rest in Ireland)
I have traced Susan in 1861 where she is married (Tollerby) and living at Vauxhall Casino, St Helier, Jersey with her husband, daughter & youngest sister (listed as Sopha).
Can anyone trace anything for the parents after 1851 - or suggest if there was any epidemic etc that might account for their disappearance?
