Hull Directory Look up - early 1800s- Briggs

I'm trying to track down my ancestor James Briggs.  He died in Bristol in 1844 where we know he was a Grocer.  It appears from looking at appropriate childrens births(we know they weren't born in Bristol) that he may well have been from Hull and I wondered if it may be possible to spot a James Briggs grocering in Hull in the early 1800s.  The children born there are between 1809 and 1819.   He was probably born around 1790.
