1851 census lookup please
« on: Thursday 04 January 07 13:37 GMT (UK) »
Please could a kind person look for this couple in the 1851 census? They are:

George Carter (b. 1831 London) - his occupation was a Tailor
Emma Carter (b. 1830 - the 1871 gives her birthplace as Birmingham, in 1861 it is given as London)

I already have them in the later census' thanks to the kind people in this thread!: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,203289.0.html

They should be in the Islington/ St Luke area of London. I would really like to know if they were married in 1851 as they have a son born in 1852.

Many thanks in advance!

There aren't many George Carters in London ......

9 LIttle St Thomas Apostle, London
George Carter Head Mar 20 Tailor London St Gregorys
Mary A Wife M 20 Salop Shrewsbury
HO107/1530; Folio: 51; Page: 40

Sorry to put the cat among the pigeons  ;)  I think you will need Richard's birth certificate.
