Thanks again, Mark.

Rawreth makes sense, as Thomas stated in 1851 that he was born in Beeches Common, just about 1 mile down the road according to the map I looked at.

Hi, I'm not sure if this thread is still in use?

I am a descendent of Thomas Cockley and Sarah Bilbow, and was having a look at the pair today.
I came across this information for a 'Sarah Bilbor' which would also match for the census information I have for her 1851-1871 census records. Parents stated as mary and bengt?

I think this could be a strong possibility (if it's not already been mentioned)

Thanks

Re. My previous post. The only marriage I've found is a Benjamin Belbow to a Mary Scarborough in Saint Leonards, Shoreditch, London,England in 1789. I can't seem to find any other siblings of Sarah though if that is the case, unless they were not always situated in the Wakering, Essex area

Hi,
Yes, seems like this thread is still active - I got email notification about your post. I haven't checked it for a long time, though.

I haven't got any farther back with Sarah Bilbow. The baptism you found is a possibility if the family moved to Essex from London. I will try to follow this. I have Find My Past and there is nothing there. Can you see the actual image on Ancestry, not just the transcription?

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately know there is no image just the transcription, I did also find a baptisms in Little Wakering for a Mary Bilbor too. The mother is listed as Mary, but the father listed as Amy in 1803. I've had a look for records of a Mary Bilbow marrying, but have not found any deaths, marriages, census records etc

Hi,
Some Essex records are on Family Search but unindexed, so I will check there to see if there are any Little Wakering records. It is difficult going through the images but worth it if you find something! I will keep you posted.

Ah yes, I do wish they hadn't of changed the website for family search last year! It seems that the Bilbow/Bilbor/Bilbee family is rare in existence. I had a look at death records for a Benjamin Bilbow death, but the only one I could see died in 1848 born in 1766 and was married to a different lady than Mary which leaves it at a standstill.
