I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of a Samuel Patterson (Listed on the Northern Ireland Fire Bragade roll of Honour) who died on 29th December 1882. Sadly I've drawn a blank trying to find any details
Currently researching the details including Names, Addresses, Date died, Age died, How died, Brigade served and many other details of firefighters that have died as a result of being a firefighter.

Have you looked at D/4247 "History of Fire Brigades in Northern Ireland" which may be viewed at the "PRONI" premises at Balmoral Avenue, Belfast?

Wilkybob- as you live in East Sussex you probably won't be able to do research in Belfast but it's very likely that the local papers would have had an article about Samuel Patterson at the time he died.

Wilkybob- have found newspaper report of fire which killed Samuel Patterson with lots of details. If you are interested in copy please send me a pm with your email address and I will foward the article to you.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
