Hi isobel I am certian the information you have given me refers to my mary jones as this little peice of information I didn't put in was that mary who was my grandmother had a child out of wedlock named lily and was brought up by mary's mother as one of her own,lily was born 30/aug/1897 and the father did a runner when he found out mary was pregnant,lily was also born at croft st little hulton.This information about lily was given to me by mary's daughter my aunt who was in touch with with one of lilies children but had no information about mary or her parents/family. my aunt is still living and is now 94yrs old but hasn't any memory about her grandparents,so I thank you very much for the information.

Thanks for the offer isobel I would be most grateful if you could spare the time, the father of lily was named as peter reece, I know mary married my grandfather joseph bennett at clegg lane chapel little hulton on june 1st 1901, josephs father was living at 39&41 man road little hulton with emma bennett formerly eckersley on the 1891 census but disappears after that emma was his second wife so if you come across them I would love to know.
