Trade Directories

Can anyone tell me if there are any trade directories covering the Rossett area in the 1800's?

I am looking for a wheelwright by the name of Thomas Davies who was a wheelwright on the 1851 and 61 census.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have had a look at my copy of the Directories and the first one for Rossett is 1881.  No mention in Gresford in 1868 either.

Thanks for that Mike, unfortunately I think that Thomas died in 1868, so wouldn't be there in 1881. His son George was also a wheelwright, but was in Birkenhead by 1871.

Jan 9 1845. Jane.
March 26 1848 Mary.

Rossett burial. July 2 1868.
Thomas Davies. abode, Lavister. Age 60.

Thank you so much, that is fantasic! I don't currently have any of that information and had only traced Thomas' death in the bmd, but haven't got the cert yet.

Don't know if it's online. I got it from the Rossett parish registers at Flintshie records office.
