Smith & Webster Marriage Dundee
« on: Saturday 06 January 07 15:12 GMT (UK) »
Searching for the full marriage details for the marriage between - Jane Webster and Thomas Smith who married on 14/04/1871 at Dundee.

I cannot find their parents - so hoping it will be on their marriage certificate ?

Do not have access to scotlandspeople unfortunately!

Also interested to learn if they had more than the children - thomas and john born 1872 and 1873 respectively?

All help much appreciated - regards -Luc.

You'll notice Jane's mother is alive at the time of the marriage. Her death certificate will be able to provide you with her parents. I've had a look and she died JESSIE WEBSTER (other names: LAW) in 1900 aged 60.

hello hume24,

Wow that was fast - thanks again!

You mentioned that you were unable to read Thomas' mother name but that it seemed to be Agnes, going by IGI records  ::)  What made you come to that conclusion I had had no luck on the igi??

Regards - Luc.

Looking at the record I found, it may not be Agnes after all.  ::) It's a few years out of your Thomas' birth, sorry about that. Census records will be able to show his birthplace, perhaps outside Scotland? Here is a snippet of the certificate; someone may be able to read it better. I bet it's simple.  ;D
