Taylor Huddersfield, Horbry,Leeds
« on: Monday 08 January 07 12:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm searching for my Great gran who was Annie Louise Taylor c1879 in Huddersfield, Derek contacted me on Genes Reunited to say he had one in his family and a distant relative had told him she married a Fred Lyon in June 1900 in Huddersfield, this matches my Great Grandfather (who I know did marry an Annie Louise Taylor in June 1900) so far so good, I checked Derek's family tree and tried Free Bmd,Genes Reunited,Family Search, Free Cen etc but Annie's siblings, parents etc just don't seem to be there, this is the info I have so if anyone can see anything I've missed I'd love to hear from them.

Annie Louise Taylor c1879 Huddersfield
siblings Bernard 1873,James 1879 (married Sarah Oldroyd), and Veronica 1889 all Huddersfield

parents
Sam Taylor c1851 Horbry (could it possibly be Horbury?)
Mary Donelly (nee Smith) two sons from first marriage William 1871 and John 1872

Sam's parents
Daniel Taylor c1820 quoted living in Leeds stone cutter 1861 census
Elizabeth Sutcliffe c1823 Horbry

That's all the information I have unfortunately, if anyone could help I'd be grateful, as this is the first real lead I have had on Annie's family but unfortunaly I cannot find anything else about the Taylors

Thanks Julie

Hi Tati

Many thanks, looks like the right family, I was so busy trying to find Sam with daughter Annie on the census that I missed that one.

In the 1871 census they are living in Lockwood, Near Huddersfield, West Yorks.

Dan Taylor bn circa 1819 Almondbury Occ Stone Dresser

Elizabeth Taylor bn circa 1813  Horbury

Sam Taylor bn circa 1853 Dalton Yorks Occ Labourer

Below them is
