I am related to Richard Puddicombe who fought in the Cornish Militia with William Milman and a Bennellick. They were recruited in Crediton in 1795. My branch of the Puddicombes moved to Yorkshire and married into the Luscombes also from Devon.

If you google search "The history of the Milman family" you will find information about Bennellik who fought in the Cornish militia and was a friend of Richard Puddicombe.

She married a chap called Richard Luscombe b1837 Helston, Cornwall they moved to Yorkshire, had 8 children. Fanny died Mar 1905 Bradford, Yorkshire and Richard died 1915 Bradford. Richard Luscombes parents were George Luscombe b1803 Loddiswell, Devon and died 1890 and Martha b1810 Ivy bridge, Devon, England d1890.
Hope this of some help, I haven't done a huge amount of work on my tree of the Luscombes but if I have some info you need I will happily pass it on.

Does anyone have any information about the socio-economic status of the Puddicombe family? I am related to Sally Puddicombe b1810 through her son William, b1846. Thanks.
