There's a David Fisk / Fish aged 15 in Brighthelmstone (Brighton) 1851 census ..

HO107/1646; Folio: 311; Page: 23 - Father is David, who can be seen as FISH in 1861

If we can find from 1851, which daughter of the Harrisons was around in Luton, we might then find the FISH / HARRISON marriage ....

UPDATE: This chap can be seen in 1871, a grocer - alone and unmarried/widowered

well, I cant find EITHER of the Harrison daughters marrying in the 1856-1860 period in an obvious district.

But one of 'em had Mary jnr, as evidenced by her 'grandaughter' relationship to the Harrisons in 1861.

Saw a DANIEL FISH marrying 3Q1858 1a 455 in St George Hanover Sq ...

Hi Newfy
Thanks for the interest. I have the Chelsea certificate. It lists the parents as Daniel Fish and Angelina (formerly Harrison). He is listed as a domestic servant on the birth certificate, but on Mary Ann's marriage certificate her father is listed as licensed victualler. I don't know how to be sure that this birth refers to my great grandmother - how do I make the link?
Any ideas.

Get the marriage Cert I saw and take it from there ? The 'formerly HARRISON' is the key link I'd say ...
