Hi did it give  Eliza's birth place on both the census?

I don't think the 1891 could be them as in 1881 they were age 32 and 29 and don't appear to have children.
Thanks
Kissimmee

try again (its late & thats my excuse & I'm sticking to it  ;D!! Yawn!)

1881 (you have)
but states George Bearman c1852 born Barking, Essex not Bocking

1891
Sorry cannot pinpoint them at all even by omitting the surname etc

1901
George Bearman 49 Carpenter & Joiner - Bocking, Ch. St. Essex
Eliza M 52 - Croydon
42 Albert Road, Braintree

Marriage
George Bearman
to
Eliza Mercy Suckling
Sept Q 1873

Hi Ell thanks for the details for the 1901 as to the 1881 stating that George was born Barking.  I have found that at least a quarter of my Bearmans and many other surnames say they were born Barking when it was actually Bocking.  I can understand the transcribers getting it wrong when you consider how terrible some of the writing is.

Thanks Ricky for finding George in 1891 and the extra bonus that you found him with his father which proves I am following the correct George. George must have been visiting father and left Eliza in Croydon.

Thank you both for your help.

I'm not sure if they had children - cos I have a copy of Eliza Mercy Bearman's will and no children are mentioned - only nieces and nephews.
