I don't think your OS actually 'Froze'......I bet your pointer still moved.....If the Ad-Aware Server gets a little clogged up with us looking for updates...or, as I think is happening at the moment, they are undergoing some Server etc., uprating.....It sometimes takes a little longer than usual for them to respond, and, obviously it stops you even cancelling the download..(if there is one?)....
Just bear with it and it will be back to normal soon.....
