Edward Sly born c 1787 in Warminster

I am trying to find a birth record for Edward Sly born c 1787 and believed to be the illegitimate son of Betty/Elizabeth Sly.  Betty/Elizabeth was the daughter of Lewis and Jane Sly. Despite numerous previous searches no record has been found in the Warminster area.
Any help would be much appreciated as I have the tree back to the 1600's if I can make the link !
