thats the only name  i know for them , they were a very secretive family kept out of the way, didnt trust anyone so maybe they just baptisted there kids but i wouldnt have a clue where

heres what i have got for them
      William Loveridge died 1965 age 89 in frampton cotrell gloucester informant B Aryres grand daughter
          Annie Loveridge died 1967 in reading (staying with daughter) age 87 years, imformant Alice Smith daughter
        Joe Loveridge died 1966 age 60 at frampton cotrell imformant Caroline Loveridge wife.
         Jack Loveridge (John) died 1964 age 46 in peterbrough hospital imformant A Smith sister .
         i can find no birth for any of them so far  and only a marriage for John/Jack and Pheobe. can find them in the census either, they have been my biggest brick wall since i started, as it my husband grandfather  it makes a big hole in his side of the tree, thanks Louise

your right - I cant find him either. Found some William Loveridges born abt the right time, but they either arent Romany (or appear not to be) or they dont fit because the family is too old and have had all their kids - and this Williams family carried on having kids after the 1901 census.

but..... theres an interesting one here cos you mentioned thinking Annie was an Orchard....

They appear to be in houses on the common, but it could be the enumerater simply didnt say anything about them not living in houses... they are near a family called Stevens, also licensed hawkers.

thats a possible for them wouldnt be the first time that a romany used the wifes name, roll on the 1911 census maybe ill find them on that only 2 years to go

             i have some new info for my Loveridges, hoping some one can find them some where.
         William and Annie were both Loveridges before there marriage,
  Annie mother was called Valentine as she was born 14/2/dont know what year.
         Annie came from Wales and spoke of two sisters living in Cumbran? wales
 
 can anyone find them or fit them in some where many thanks louise
