1841 census look up please, Leeds. Complete with many thanks to Nicky
« on: Tuesday 16 January 07 20:48 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I am trying to find JOHN BERRY and his wife MARTHA in the 1841 census.

John was born abt. 1818 Holbeck
Martha was born 1815 Holbeck

I would expect them to have a son JAMES who was born in 1840 and a daughter MARY who was born in 1839, both in Holbeck.

I have found them in the1851 census when they were living in Holbeck (Coupland Yd).

John's occupation could be something like Joiner, Toolsmith, Model Maker or similar.

Many thanks

Bob

Many, many thanks to Nicky.  Some months ago I had spent ages trying to find him in the Leeds archives and you find him in 15 mins.
