Thanks Irret - How would I find out more about her family, for instance names of her parents and siblings?
Best regards
Jack

Phoebe was widowed after which she married my g.g.grandfather John Carter in 1813. I have the Carter family in the 1841 census but not the Davey family.

Thanks Cep - this certainaly appears to be the Davey family I was looking for. Do you think the mother had passed away by this time? If this is an addition (codicil) to the main will, perhaps she is mentioned in the main will. At any rate this gives me sufficient info to close the gap on this branch of the ancestral family.
I'm very grateful for your help.
Regards
Jack

Hello!
I am researching a Mary Davey who married Jeremiah Pledger May 1, 1798 in Felsted. They had two children that I know of, Lydia and Jeremiah, Jr.

I am wondering if Mary is connected to the Davey family you are researching?

Hi Marilyn - I don't have much info about the Davey family other than what you see on this query page in regard to my search. I suppose it's possible that Mary Davey could be a younger sister of Thomas Davey. The family name and their location in Felstead certainly looks promising. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
