Help Advice re slides please :)

Hi,

i have a friend who has some slides,  here is her request:::

Okay, so I've got several hundred colour slides, all mounted, which I would like to put on CD. So I suppose I want to know if anyone can recommend the best, most economical way to do it. There are some slide scanners on dealtime uk, or similar, and they start in the £60s, so, if they are likely to be any good, I could see if my sibs will cough up quarter shares, and do it that way. But it may be that the cheapy scanners are a waste of money, especially as it would be a one off need.

Hi Darksecretz,
The cheapest way would be to by a slide scanner, the best you can afford. I only have a normal scanner and have been fooling arounf with a slide for ages using white paper foil etc and it doesn't work I only have about 5 slides so can't justify the cost of another scanner

thanks Harry for the offer, my friend Gillian (who has the slides)  lives on the IOW
I did send her the link about Lydarts thread about the bearpaw? scanner, so we will see what happens
