Does anyone know where in Ireland Mary Ann Neagle was born?

I have the following details from the 1851 census which are vague.

Uriah Richardson born Writhlington Somerset 1818 Married Mary Ann Neagle born 1822 in Ireland -  4th quarter 1847 Bristol 11 192

They were living in St James Bristol at this time.

it sometimes pays to look at other censuses- occasionally a county is mentioned- whether it is right or not is of course a different matter.
However in this case, the 1861 census has at RG9; Piece: 1720; Folio: 77; Page: 23

The Neagles have been transcribed as Meade and the ages are not quite correct. Hopefully the relationships are right!

So you are really fortunate here in having such a lead. The Irish records however may well prove more difficult.

The 1861 census details are correct regarding Uriah Richardson, so this lead helps a lot.
I will have to see if I can find out more in the Irish Records.
