I met Lewis and Vere in Oxford in the 1970's - probably before you were born - and had a weekend with them. Lewis took me around Oxford and gave me a lot of good advice about Sudan, which I later used when I was there. My Mum is Jean Carpenter (nee Flett) and her Mum is Marion Flett (nee Wilcher) and she is a sister to your great grandfather Lewis who died before his son Lewis (your grandfather) was 2 years old. I have more information and photos but am overseas at present and won't be home for another week. Send me a personal message with your email and we will keep in touch. My Mum was very close to Vere and visited her in Oxford in the 1990's. Mum is now 98 and not in good health. hope to  hear from you soon.
