Muriel Bradford Barnsley born 19 Aug 1912 no father given mother Annie Barnsley 1912/008478

I wonder if Annie is the daughter of JGB & JCD - born 1893 - which would make her 19?

As far as I know (at this moment) I do not have any Bateman's in Australia before about 1930 - but having said that a few days ago I did not have ANY relations from my mother's side there either

I do have Thomas Scott Barnsley b. 1847 in Northampton, England marrying Susan Lyons in 1878 - could it be their son?

Qld CDs don't go past 1914 Sue - so unlikely to have married before then. Shame they merged the 2 files - else the WWI would be available. He probably lied about his age for WWII unless he was a senior officer. I have one relative who put his age up for WWI and down for WWII.

I do have Thomas Scott Barnsley b. 1847 in Northampton, England marrying Susan Lyons in 1878 - could it be their son?

He said he was born in Georgetown Qld & Thomas the son of John and Johanna is the only possibility born in Qld - then again the "brother" has been coded as NSW BUT the record says Georgetown Cumberland Australia

Just realised - may be on the nominal role for WWII
