Death Annan 1911

Can anyone please help.I am looking for a death in Annan around April 1911.The name is William Houghton and he was 20.He is buried in Blackburn,Lancashire.Parish records say removed from  Annan 22nd April 1911.I take the date to be when he was buried,so he must have died some time before that in Scotland.Would the death certificate be in Scotland?

With ScotlandsPeople, all the certificates are online, ready to view. It's only if it's a bad copy that they can send you out one (please correct me if I'm wrong). You can also save the images to your computer and print them off.

Thanks for that information.I have been trying to look it up on Scotland's People website,but I get no matches.I wonder what I am doing wrong?

It should show you if there are any results. I'm without credits at the moment and it still tells me "Last search found 1 match displayed on 1 page."

Yes,got it.Silly me was putting a birth year in which is not necessary because it's a death.I will now send for it.Thanks a lot for all your help.
